Asiservy was founded in 1997 by the economist Gustavo Núñez Márquez, who with a creative and visionary energy, directed it towards the production and export of loins of tuna precooked, frozen and vacuum packed for total satisfaction of the worldwise customers. Processing 120 tons of tuna a day as an average, from the Ecuatorian waters we capture and process the three most commercial species of tropical tuna in the world: Small Barrel (Skipjack), Yellow Fin (Yellow Fin) and Patudo (Big Eye), though the frozen loins of tuna constitute the principal production of the company for twenty years of management, locating us as the second major exporter of the country in this segment , with more than 42 million dollars a year, also we locate ourselves inside the first ten processing industries of tuna with added value, which exports to diverse foreign markets. Ecuador is globally recognized as one of the bests tuna´s processors of the Pacific coast that controls the security of marine life. Without leaving out to mention the worldwide concern from the consumer point of view , which look in for a product for healthy and quality characteristics, and tuna is rich in protein, vitamins and Omega-3 product. In 2014, Ecuador exported nearly $1.260 million on canned tuna, which focused 65 % in Europe; 25 % in Latin America; and 8 % in the United States.
The company recently increased its production capacity in canning tuna. It acquired new equipments like three autoclaves and new canning lines (produce 300 tins per minute each machine) that allow Asiservy pack in tins, aluminum pouch, for the global private label industry.
Since July 2015, CMA Global has been entrusted by Asiservy for the exclusive commercial development of some areas of the European markets, among them the highest consuming market, Spain.
